Available to Mortgage Next appointed representatives (ARs), and to directly authorised (DA) brokers for £39, the website has been designed to reflect the corporate brand and colour scheme used by the intermediary firm. Additional pages can also be made available, allowing the intermediary to publish details about their business.
Announcing the launch of the white-label facility, Mortgage Next marketing director, Justine Tomlinson, said: “Websites are no longer an optional extra, but are an essential part of any intermediaries marketing activities. However, setting up a website can be both time-consuming and expensive and they are also labour intensive to keep up-to-date, particularly when a large number of rapidly changing mortgage products are involved.”
“Our white-label website facility has been developed as a result of demand from our members and we have been mindful of the need to produce a professional but low-cost solution.”
“At £39 per month, with no additional set-up costs, this really does represent excellent value for money. I’m sure it will prove to be very popular with intermediaries.”
Kim Barrett, proprietor of KS Barrett & Associates, agreed that websites had become an essential operation for any mortgage intermediary, but referred to them as ‘a necessary evil’. He explained: “I have come to realise that websites are important in the mortgage broking business. More and more clients like the comfort of their mortgage provider having a website. However, I have always steered clear of the network ilk. I don’t promote any products on my website, so I don’t need to worry about regulations and I find it a piece of cake keeping it updated.”
