The findings from the protection provider show 74 per cent of survey respondents insured their home contents, while only 23 per cent insured their mortgage payments. Only 23 per cent insured their lives. Roger Edwards, product director at Bright Grey, said: “It’s a worry to see protecting mortgage payments and life cover so far behind contents insurance.”
Burns Anderson adds to GI panel
Burns-Anderson plc has added Halifax to its general insurance (GI) panel. Its brokers will now have greater choice when using sourcing accident sickness and unemployment providers. Andy Bell, mortgage and GI manager at Burns-Anderson plc, said: “Our brokers are able to either refer their business on for a fee, or can save time using our panel to source the best deals.”
