The 11 roadshows are scheduled to run from September through to December 2005 and will have an emphasis on Home Information Packs (HIPs), which Mortgage Times believes will significantly transform the property buying process.
The compliance clinics will be an open forum where interested individuals can ask any compliance or training and competence-related questions to Mortgage Times’ compliance team.
The location and dates of the roadshows are: Brentwood – Thursday 29 September; London West – Thursday 6 October; Manchester – Wednesday 12 October; Leeds – Thursday 13 October; Ashford Kent – Thursday 20 October; London Central – Thursday 27 October; Birmingham – Wednesday 2 November; Guildford – Thursday 10 November; Bristol – Thursday 24 November; Southampton – Thursday 1 October; and Newcastle – Thursday 8 December.
Christopher May, director of The Mortgage Times Group, said: “The compliance clinic will provide brokers with an ideal opportunity to remove any regulatory doubts they might have.
“Representatives from our compliance team will be on hand to guide them through the regulatory maze so why not put our compliance to the test? By supplying brokers with information about HIPs it will give our customers plenty of time to prepare for this impending event. I believe HIPs will have a bigger impact on the mortgage market than ‘Mortgage Day’.”
Paul Hunt, head of marketing at Platform, said: “Roadshows are worth their weight in gold. They give the broker an opportunity to get away from the daily grind of the office for a day and explore areas that could drive extra business. Brokers should look at the content to decide if it will be beneficial to them.”
