David Miles, 40, will oversee a significant period of investment and growth for Mortgages Direct. The group operates the 250 branches of haart, Spicer McColl, Felicity J Lord, Darlows and Bailys estate agencies.
He said: "This is a very interesting and exciting time for Mortgages Direct. There are many new opportunities on the horizon because of the changes being introduced next year to the way the industry is regulated. It's good news for us - and for our customers."
Mortgages Direct is investing more than £1 million in new technology to give customers full mortgage offers within 17 seconds using database valuations and credit searching by next year, with staff numbers rising to 300 by the end of this year.
