Under the terms of the deal TFC will market the entire Mortgages plc product range to intermediaries under its own umbrella, TFC Homeloans. Advisers will also be able to produce KFIs via a facility on the TFC Homeloans website.
TFC senior partner Wayne Smethurst, said: “Our strategy is to market as many leading mortgage products as possible under the TFC Homeloans brand.
“Mortgages plc’s new product range, launched in January this year, has proven to be extremely popular with both brokers and borrowers.”
The all status lender has also announced that it will publish a financial promotions guide for intermediaries in response to increasing concern in the market about non-compliant promotions by regulated firms.
The guide, which is currently being written, will explain what intermediaries need to consider when issuing promotions and will cover examples of good and bad practice in the current market.
Julian Wells, head of marketing at Mortgages plc, said: “We have been alarmed by some of the recent press coverage about non-compliant advertising.
“In our analysis of a recent edition of a consumer mortgage magazine, over 25 per cent of all mortgage advertising was not compliant. The guilty parties included both lenders and brokers.”
The lender has also completed the expansion of its sales team with the recruitment of six new sales managers in its Northern, Midlands and Southern sales teams.
In the Northern team, Craig Clifton will now cover Yorkshire. Sarah-Jane Lloyd joins and takes responsibility for North West/Manchester.
Jon Sharp has been appointed to cover the West Midlands, while Nick Parker joins to cover the East Midlands.
The Southern team is boosted by the appointment of Dean Hackett for London and East and Nicola Street who will cover London and the South West.
