This brings the total number of its building society clients to 22. For both these clients, Mutual One will be supporting those societies own internal teams on certain specialist audit aspects of their internal audit coverage.
Commenting on the client wins, Andrew Gold, Mutual One’s chief operating officer, said: “These new deals are important for Mutual One as they go to consolidating our position as the largest provider of internal audit services to building societies. They bring our total number of new audit clients over the last year to 10 across a range of different sectors.
"What we are now seeing with many societies is a desire to work with Mutual One on specific or specialist aspects of their overall audit plans, in effect blending the best that we can offer alongside their own internal expertise. This and a desire to keep costs under tight control, means that our collective approach to internal audit services on an outsourced basis is becoming a more popular and established approach.”
