Julian Jennings, chief executive of NAMBA, said: “Since the inception of NAMBA last February we have given it our best shot. During the past nine months, our preparation and research - together with the publicity given to our plans - have attracted wide industry support and we have recruited founder members from market testing small samples of the intermediary sector. The positive results each month encouraged us to progress further with the development of NAMBA, but we have always known that the association will only succeed if we recruit members cost-effectively through promotion to the intermediary market as a whole.”
NAMBA has set a minimum target of 20 founder members for the development of the Association to continue, although they are hoping for more than 50 responses. If the Association gets the support it is looking for it plans to launch in Spring 2002.
