Law firms active in the conveyancing process are invited to join
National Conveyancing Week (NCW), set for March 11 to 15, will feature a lineup of online meetings and events aimed at enhancing the visibility of conveyancing, boosting understanding of the home buying and selling process, and fostering productive relationships among stakeholders.
The schedule for the week includes a range of sessions starting on Monday, March 11, with a morning discussion on material and upfront information, highlighting the impact of new guidance from the National Trading Standards Estate and Letting Agents Team. The afternoon will focus on the digital transformation of the property market, featuring collaboration between HM Land Registry, the Home Buying and Selling Group, and government bodies.
Tuesday’s agenda addresses mental health and wellbeing within the sector, followed by the British Conveyancing Awards, which attendees can join either in person or online. On Wednesday, there will be a ‘Collaboration Coffee Morning’ event, inviting various industry players to engage directly, and a session revealing consumer insights into the home moving process.
Thursday will see conversations on the property market’s economics and a notable discussion between Mike Harlow of HM Land Registry and Rob Hailstone. The week concludes on Friday with a ‘Wine’d Down’ session, allowing participants to reflect on the week's events.
Registration for NCW is now open to all law firms involved in conveyancing, offering them the opportunity to participate in these sessions at no cost. The event will also be documented and shared on the NCW YouTube channel.
This initiative is backed by numerous commercial sponsors, including Access Legal, Actionstep, and Bold Legal Group, among others, highlighting the industry-wide commitment to advancing conveyancing practices and understanding.
“With NCW just a few weeks away, we’re pleased to be able to announce the full series of seminars, presentations, and sessions which will be available to all throughout the five days,” said Rob Hailstone (pictured), organiser of National Conveyancing Week and chief executive of the Bold Legal Group.
“We’ve tried to put together events which focus on some of the key conveyancing and property market issues of the day, plus look at areas which are vitally important to firms themselves, for example, mental health and wellbeing.
“We’ve very excited about NCW and we are encouraging all conveyancing firms to register, get involved and help highlight the excellent work in this sector and its vital importance to the UK home buying and selling market.”
