The new site, developed directly in response to market research in which brokers said they would like a Nationwide for Intermediaries website that was easier to navigate and more user-friendly, allows intermediaries to customise their website by selecting the links they would like to see on each page. New drop-down menus will make it easier to navigate through different areas, while the whole site has been redesigned to make it simpler to use.
Intermediaries using the site will have access to details of Nationwide's full product range, broken down by product type for easier browsing, with product calculators available for use with clients. An improved search facility will provide intermediaries looking for further information with a quicker and more efficient response.
Ian Andrew, head of intermediary sales at Nationwide, said the lender had taken the feedback from brokers seriously. He commented: "The research we conducted gave us a clear steer on what intermediaries wanted to see improved about our website, and so this redesign has been focused on making these improvements. These are challenging times for intermediaries, but we're committed to the broker market for the long term and hope this investment will further enhance intermediaries' experience of doing business with us."
Nationwide for Intermediaries also plans to carry out some follow-up research to get brokers' views and feedback on the new site.
