Gemma Wardale found the courage for the jump for her disabled brother.
At Cockerham Airfield in Lancashire she jumped from a plane 15,000 feet above ground, free-falling the first 10,000 feet in 60 seconds.
Wardale said: “It’s something I have always wanted to do but was also very scared about the thought.
“My own brother is disabled and I am sure it is something he would have loved to do so I decided that I should face up to the challenge and do it to raise money for Spinal Injuries, a charity that helps people like my brother recuperate after spinal accidents.
”It was a totally mind-blowing experience that went by very, very quickly and I’d love to do it again.
“I would like to thank everyone who has sponsored me as that money will be used to make a difference to someone’s life who has suffered a serious illness or accident.”
