Previously employed by Cheltenham and Gloucester as head of product and marketing, Whittaker joins Mortgages plc as an executive director on 1 June 2007 reporting to deputy CEO, Peter Beaumont.
Whittaker will take responsibility for developing and implementing Mortgages plc’s marketing strategy, including new product development. He said: “Mortgages plc has proven itself to be a potent force within the UK non-conforming mortgage market. With the backing of Merrill Lynch the business has both the ability and resources to continue making a big impact. I’m looking forward to joining a highly successful team.”
Peter Beaumont, deputy CEO at Mortgages plc added on the new appointment: “I’m delighted to welcome an industry big-hitter such as Ian to Mortgages plc.
