He will be responsible for running the Best Advice Mortgage Network, a new service for intermediaries, which is due to be launched at the end of this year.
The new network will offer intermediaries a host of tools including free compliance support, sourcing of software and free personal indemnity insurance. Holt was previously director of compliance at introducer network, HomeLoan Partnership (HLP). For five years he worked for Gateshead-based packager, MCA Finance where he was the company's head of compliance.
"There are exciting times ahead for Best Advice Mortgage Centre and the appointment of Steve will help us grow the company even further," said Richard Hall, managing director of Best Advice Mortgage Centre. The appointment of Steve to the senior management team adds to this expertise as he is the first person to be appointed to the team who has mortgage network experience."
