Specialist cases are defined as non-conforming, buy-to-let and self-cert products.
The proposition, which is designed to compliment NGM’s appointed representative network, networkone, also claims to pay full procuration fees. It will provide members with on-going training and competency support and a 24-hour helpdesk.
Commenting on the proposition Sian Markham, director of operations at NGM, said: “Initially we will be looking to recruit just 150 members between now and ‘Mortgage Day’. However, I’m confident that this goal can be achieved well before 31 October.”
Sally Laker, managing director of Mortgage Intelligence, said: “Principals will not choose compliance providers just because they are free of charge. After all, they are the people who are responsible when the FSA investigates.”
Matthew Bright, managing director of Optoma, said: “The general feeling amongst brokers is that firms like NGM should supply either a pure compliance solution or a pure packaging service.
“If you are funding your compliance from packaging then the level of service you supply will be dependent on how much income you are receiving, rather then what is actually required.”
