"This is part of our strategy to have an NLA representative and spokesman in all the regions of England, and in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland," said David Salusbury, chairman of the NLA.
"We want our members to feel that they have someone they can turn to at a more local level and we also believe that MPs, local councils and the local media will find this system a useful source of information. MaryAnn is an excellent choice. She has been a landlord for 12 years and has a real commitment to provide a top level service to her tenants."
Formerly with British Telecom where she worked in sales, business development and training MaryAnn left the company two years ago to devote herself to her property business.
"I run my own company, which provides expertise on the buy-to-let-market but also in such practical areas as finding good builders and project management. Being the NLA representative for London will allow me to use this experience in helping to ensure that sensible policies are put in place that support and assist the private rented sector. I am looking forward to the challenge.".
