Two brand new awards categories revealed
The Mortgage Introducer Awards are back for 2024, with nominations opening today for the brightest and the best of the industry to compete for the honour of scooping a coveted accolade.
This year our renowned Awards introduce two brand new categories to define excellence in the mortgage sector - Mortgage Industry Employer of Choice and Excellence in DE&I (diversity, equity and inclusion).
This brings the number of awards categories to 29, and nominations will be open until August 16, ahead of the prestigious awards ceremony on November 26 in London. Scores of industry professionals will descend on prestigious venue, 8 Northumberland Avenue, for one of the biggest nights in the mortgage calendar.
As ever, it promises to be an outstanding celebration, that thrills and inspires in equal measure.
Leon Diamond (pictured left), CEO & founder of LiveMore, is an enthusiastic supporter of The Mortgage Introducer Awards. His business won Later Life Lender of the Year in 2022.
“It was fantastic for our people to have the light shone on them, and have their hard work and dedication acknowledged by the industry,” Diamond said.
“Winning helped us consolidate our position as the leading lender in the later-life market and raised awareness of our strong ESG (environmental, social, and government) policy – the bedrock to our business.
“It helped validate our strength in the market and that what we are doing in this sector really is completely transforming what used to be an equity release-only market. It helped people understand that we’re leading the way in the later life market by sealing the silo between equity release and mainstream mortgages for borrowers aged 50-plus.”
What would Diamond say, then, to others about becoming involved and nominating themselves or others for the awards’ categories?
“It’s important to take the time to acknowledge the talent and hard work that goes on both in your own business and across the industry,” he commented.
“Entering the Mortgage Introducer Awards is a great way of communicating your business innovations, engendering stakeholder trust and raising brand awareness across the industry. It’s a significant industry event that provides great insight into who is doing what and why.”
How rewarding is it to win at The Mortgage Introducer Awards?
One Mortgage System (OMS), a processing platform for intermediaries, triumphed at the awards in 2023.
“Winning Innovator Champion of the Year in last year’s Mortgage Introducer Awards was a key milestone for us as a business and a recognition of the efforts by the team to develop a second to none CRM system and the service to match,” said Neal Jannels (pictured centre), managing director of OMS.
“We work in a dynamic industry, full of innovation and talent, so recognising excellence and success of both individuals and firms is important to keep us as an industry driving forward. Such excellence delivers real improvements to end customers and despite the many challenges the industry has and continues to face, our ability to meet such challenges head on never ceases to amaze me.”
He added: “Being recognised by your peers is very humbling. Votes and nominations must be earnt and so we never take such accolades for granted, each is a testament to our team, the system we have built and how we work with partners to build them a system that is right for them and their businesses.”

What impact does winning at The Mortgage Introducer Awards have on business?
Rob Stanton (pictured right), sales and distribution director at Landbay, an awards sponsor and winner, believes the Awards highlights what makes the sector great.
“The prestigious Mortgage Introducer Awards celebrate excellence in the mortgage industry,” Stanton stated. “Landbay has been honoured to win four years in a row which has proved to be a highly effective way to showcase our skills and expertise as specialist lenders in the buy-to-let sector. The awards ceremony itself is big night out for the industry and a great opportunity to come together with other professionals. I’d strongly encourage people to enter these awards.”
