Non-executive directors of The Financial Services Authority

Over the next few months a number of vacancies will arise as non-executive directors complete their terms of office. The Treasury will therefore be looking to fill these posts with people of undisputed integrity, standing and authority with broad experience inside and outside the financial services industry, whether as a practitioner, academic or consumer.

As the single regulator for financial services in the UK, the FSA has one of the widest remits of any international financial services regulator. The scope of the FSA regulation will increase further when the FSA takes on responsibility for conduct of business regulation for mortgages and general insurance selling/brokerage in 2004-05.
