Mortgage Business Expo Manchester, to be staged at the GMEX exhibition centre, will feature more than 130 lenders, packagers, networks and clubs. Clarion Events anticipate that more than 2500 intermediaries will visit.
Mortgage Business Expo London has become the country’s biggest mortgage industry gathering. The Manchester event is aimed at the sizeable community in the North who may not have been able to attend the London event.
As with the London event, the Manchester Show will feature a seminar programme organised by the Council of Mortgage Lenders. The main theme will be regulation and the changes coming into effect in October 2004.
Show director Andy White, of Clarion Events, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the growth of the London Show, which is targeted at a London and South East visitor base.”
“Mortgage Business Expo Manchester will be similar in content, because we know that it is a proven formula and many of the exhibitors will be the same. It will offer them the chance to reach a new and important audience. We are very excited by the response that the Manchester event has received so far – 30 exhibitors have reserved stands in the last week alone.”
Michael Coogan, Director General of the CML, said: “With regulation coming into effect in just a year, we are pleased that Clarion Events is providing intermediaries based in the North with the chance to learn in depth about the things that will be affecting them and their business most. It is an opportunity not to be missed.”
Chris Cummings, Director of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries said: “We are delighted to support the new Manchester event, and have no doubt that it will prove to be a popular and successful event for our members based in the North.”
