Kingston is named new sales director
Nottingham Building Society has announced that its current sales director, Alison Pallett (pictured), will retire in March 2025, concluding a 42-year career in financial services.
Matt Kingston, currently head of national sales, will assume the role upon her departure.
Pallett joined Nottingham Building Society in 2022 as sales director, where she has been instrumental in expanding the society’s mortgage offerings and supporting growth initiatives in the first-time buyer and specialist lending markets.
Before that, Pallett held senior roles at LiveMore Capital, where she served as managing director, and Bank of Ireland, where she was director of sales and distribution. At the Bank of Ireland, she oversaw intermediary and direct sales channels and led strategic initiatives to enhance broker partnerships. Earlier in her career, Pallett held leadership positions at Nationwide Building Society, Capital One, and HSBC, gaining expertise across a range of mortgage products, retail banking, and customer service operations.
Pallett expressed pride in her contributions, particularly in supporting first-time buyers and expanding mortgage options for homeowners such as the foreign nationals mortgage offering.
“Working with Nottingham Building Society has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career,” she said, adding that she looks forward to seeing Kingston further advance the society’s mission.
Kingston, who has over a decade of experience in sales leadership within the broker market, currently oversees the business development team and broker partnerships. His transition to sales director comes as Nottingham Building Society continues to expand its specialist lending services and build closer relationships with its broker network.
Kingston said he is honoured to take on the role, emphasising his commitment to enhancing broker support and expanding the society’s focus on specialist lending.
“Under Alison’s leadership, we’ve made a real difference for our broker partners and customers,” he said. “I’m excited to build on that foundation and continue making homeownership accessible to more people.”
