The new facility is available to pre-registered brokers and intermediaries through the Society’s dedicated specialist call centre team.
N&P’s new AIP service will provide a fast and certain mortgage decision at point of sale for brokers’ customers. There are numerous advantages for intermediaries who sign up for the new facility, including:
- Gathers only minimal customer details to make a decision – resulting in a speedy turnaround within a few minutes.
- Does not leave multiple credit bureau searches if an AIP enquiry turns into a full mortgage application within 14 days (subject to "no change" to the primary data collected)
David Jervis, general manager (business services), said: “Our new approval-in-principle provides mortgage introducers and their customers with the certainty that we will underwrite a case - subject to income verification and property assessment. It will also save brokers’ time – as we will be able to establish quickly whether a case is acceptable.”
