Fresh from her appearance as one Lord Alan Sugar’s front running candidates in the 2010 series of The Apprentice, Liz Locke, has been appointed as business development director at Omni Capital, where with her strong financial background, she will be instrumental in promoting the company’s finance solutions for individuals, companies and intermediaries.
Liz - who famously received an apology and admission of regret from Lord Sugar following her premature boardroom departure - graduated with a first class honours degree in accounting and finance from Birmingham University. She began her career as a graduate sales executive for investment bank UBS and then joined the private wealth management arm of Deutsche Bank where she developed a sports and media division and executed several brand building projects.
John Wheeler also joins the Omni team this month as sales director. John has over 30 years’ in-depth experience in retail banking and insurance finance markets and more recently within the short-term funding market place.
His achievements include developing a premium finance business for a subsidiary of one of the first UK sub-prime lenders and Brit Insurance. He also introduced structured finance lines for Cheval and had responsibilities within all areas of the business from creation to redemption.
Omni Capital formed last year as a joint venture between property firm CPC Group and Mortgage Centre IFA. The company offers short-term loans to individuals and developers, predominantly within the prime postcodes of London.
