The platform is suggested to be the first of its kind in the industry
Software company One Mortgage System (OMS) has announced it has fully integrated with insurtech Underwrite Me, to strengthen its protection and life insurance offering.
OMS offers a platform that provides an end-to-end support to cover a range of products including residential, buy-to-let, second charge, equity release, bridging, commercial plus general insurance, and protection. Currently, it is integrated with various providers, including Twenty7Tec, Submissions Brain, Ignite, Hometrack, Experian and Knowledge Bank, to improve user experience when conducting product sourcing, protection sourcing, and criteria searching.
The integration with Underwrite Me aims to enable a “seamless” point of entry for users to a unique protection sourcing tool. OMS will pre-populate the protection platform, and advisers get access to protection quotations and pre-sales underwriting, as well as a single application journey that generates underwritten comparative terms for life, critical illness and income protection products.
“The UnderwriteMe platform shares many tech-led synergies with OMS, meaning this integration will really resonate with our users as it serves to simplify and streamline a process which has long been perceived as being daunting and overly complex,” said Neal Jannels (pictured), managing director of OMS.
“Ignoring a client’s protection needs will mean that advisers are not only potentially missing out on a regular income stream – which can also add considerable value to a business if there are any future exit strategies in the pipeline – but also in delivering a stronger duty of care in an uncertain economic climate. And this is a relationship which will certainly help to positively transform the protection conversation for our users and help deliver that duty of care.”
Mark Cracknell, commercial director at UnderwriteMe, commented: “We are delighted to be launching a partnership with OMS. Our objective is to make individual protection more accessible and this integration with OMS is another important step in supporting the advice process and delivering customer choice,”
