OneDome will accept virtual viewing requests

OneDome, a property website, has said it will accept virtual viewing requests for consumers and agents to continue viewings during the lockdown.

As a result of the lockdown, estate agency offices are shut nationwide, which has affected the number of viewings across the UK significantly, noted OneDome.

The new functionality will enable prospective homebuyers and tenants to request a virtual viewing for properties on onedome.com, to combat the lack of access to properties.

Consumers will be able to request a virtual viewing from an agent via mainstream video conferencing solutions like zoom.us, Bluejeans or Skype.

The firm will then contact estate agents and consumers via email to arrange the virtual viewing.

According to Onedome, the service is free of charge for agents.

Furthermore, it is also offering estate agents who partner with virtual reality or augmented reality firms to link their virtual tours to their listings on OneDome’s free-to-list portal.

Babek Ismayil, founder and chief executive of OneDome, said: “We are going through unprecedented times.

“It is very hard to predict how long the current crisis will last but we would like to help as much as we can. In response to the lockdown, we have built a solution that allows consumers to request virtual viewings.

“This solution is currently available on any listing on OneDome.com and we would be happy to offer the same solution to agents’ websites completely free of charge to help them to manage their business from distance.”
