Over 225 intermediary firms have already subscribed to the service since its launch in May last year. The comprehensive automated notification service is for new business tracking and policy servicing events across all products. Advisers can choose how frequently they wish to receive their reports, which detail any changes in status to their applications in progress and existing business.
Advisers who sign up for the policy servicing data currently receive an alert if a client's policy lapses or they owe outstanding premiums. This service has recently been enhanced to include the information required to reinstate a policy, such as a new direct debit instruction or statement of health. It also now includes the total outstanding premium amount.
Steve Young, eBusiness manager at Friends Provident said: "Being able to subscribe to Event Manager online makes the service even more accessible than before. What makes Event Manager so popular with advisers is that they have a snapshot of the latest activity across their entire Friends Provident book of business, whether on new proposals or existing policies.
"The data is incredibly valuable in helping advisers to be more proactive in a challenging market, particularly if a client's policy has lapsed. The recent enhancement means that not only will advisers be able to take action, they will also have direct access to the documentation needed to reinstate their client's policy as quickly as possible."
