Paradigm expands CPD Test Zone with new mortgage module

Paradigm has introduced a new mortgage product and advice test to its CPD Academy’s Test Zone, aiming to support advisory firm staff in demonstrating their expertise.

The test, launched today, February 13, is designed to enhance knowledge through a range of training materials, including activity-based learning such as Paradigm’s mortgage webinars and lender insight videos.

The CPD Test Zone, part of Paradigm’s CPD Academy, offers video-based learning followed by multiple-choice questions and case studies to help advisers apply their knowledge.

With the addition of this latest module, the Test Zone now features 18 assessments covering topics such as anti-bribery and whistleblowing, anti-money laundering, Consumer Duty, mortgage fraud, and protection and general insurance product knowledge.

Paradigm’s CPD Academy provides firms with free access to various CPD activities, training materials, event details, and an extensive literature library.

“At Paradigm, we have always focussed on intermediary education and helping to deliver the best possible customer outcomes,” said Christine Newell (pictured), mortgages technical director at Paradigm. “Since we launched the CPD Test Zone as part of our CPD Academy in 2020, member firms and their staff have taken tens of thousands of tests with over 24,000 having been successfully passed.

“The mortgage product area test is a great new addition and sits alongside our other product area tests which cover both protection and general insurance, and come with a range of online training support and resources to help achieve a successful outcome. It is suitable for all staff within an intermediary business, not just advisers, and covers topical mortgage content.

“We believe there will be much to be gained from working through this and taking the test to demonstrate competence in this area and to ensure ongoing professional development.”
