Chris joins Partnership Assurance from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he held senior positions, focusing on capital management developments and delivery of operational risk expertise. Prior to this, he worked for three years at Swiss Re Life & Health as operational risk manager and head of financial reporting.
Chris started off his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Coopers & Lybrand) in 1994. He has over 10 years’ experience in the financial services industry and is ACA (Association of Consulting Actuaries) qualified.
Simon Whitehead, chief executive for Partnership Assurance, commented: “The impaired market is growing rapidly due to an ageing society and improvements in healthcare. It is our intention to be the dominant player and we intend pursuing our strategy of entering markets where there is a demand for impaired underwriting such as our equity release launch. Chris will be an integral part of our development plans, with responsibility for not only our day to day financial management but also ensuring that we adopt best practice regulatory controls and provide a streamlined service for intermediaries and their customers.”
