Paul Brett has joined peer-to-peer lending platform Landbay as managing director of intermediaries from Bracknell lender Foundation Home Loans.
Brett (pictured) will be responsible for expanding the reach of Landbay’s products and strengthening relationships with key third parties.
He said: “Landbay stood out as a company that is truly committed to its customers and the Intermediary mortgage market, with a compelling, innovative and sector disrupting approach to lending.
“I’m looking forward to bringing my experience to the business and joining the team at such an exciting time for the company and the sector as a whole.”
Brett was business development director at Foundation Home Loans with the launch team, while before that he held senior roles at lenders SPML, Borro and Masthaven and was head of the Freehold Packager Association between 2004 and 2007.
His career in the mortgage industry has spanned over 30 years, across both lending and distribution.
He brings extensive experience working with intermediaries, having owned and run the mortgage packager FastCom prior to the credit crunch and launching the packager association Freehold, which achieved residential mortgage lending distribution of £1.6bn.
John Goodall, chief executive of Landbay, said: “Paul’s extensive experience and impressive list of contacts will play a crucial role as we continue to expand our lending proposition and cement our position in the market.
“His track record speaks for itself and his unique understanding of intermediaries will bring much value to what is an already dynamic team.”
