The Southport based insurer is to move its Business Development Managers (BDM) on to a territory management based approach. BDMs will be allocated one of 10 territories and given more decision-making responsibility enabling early responses to area-specific challenges and opportunities.
Each field based Territory Manager will be assisted by a team of telephone sales consultants and broker support staff.
Paymentshield Sales & Marketing Director Andy Halstead said: “It is no secret that the mortgage market is going through a very testing time at present and brokers are seeing their margins squeezed as a result. GI sales can play a key part in boosting that income and that’s where we come in.”
“Our marketing team will also work closely with the Territory Managers to ensure that our marketing effort is aligned to the needs of our brokers.”
“This new development will see our brokers benefit by enjoying a much more focussed and responsive relationship with Paymentshield. It provides the ability to identify and implement rapid response solutions to local issues and offer a genuine supporting role through tailored workshops, seminars and providing the tools to help build GI sales.”
“At the same time we need to impress upon brokers the benefits Paymentshield offers their customers in the light of competition from the low cost / low value direct and internet operators and the rewarding commissions that can be achieved by selling GI.”
