Its home emergency cover has been doubled to provide up to £1,000 in the event of a claim.
Paymentshield has upgraded its home emergency and legal expenses cover by increasing the monetary levels of protection in addition to other policy changes.
Its home emergency cover has been doubled to provide up to £1,000 in the event of a claim, while policyholders can access an emergency helpline if they need to arrange urgent repairs.
The policy will also cover the cost of alternative accommodation up to £100 and will contribute £500 towards a new boiler if the policyholder’s boiler cannot be economically repaired.
Paymentshield’s legal expenses cover has seen its protection extended from £50,000 to £100,000, with probate and tenancy disputes also covered.
It also offers legal advice and financial support in a range of other situations including employment disputes, traffic offences and personal injury, as well as clinical negligence and proceedings or appeals regarding clients’ tax affairs.
Amanda Fox (pictured), proposition and insurer relations director at Paymentshield, said: “These recent enhancements to our product offering are going to strengthen Paymentshield’s market position, while also offering advisers and their clients the quality they have come to expect from a Paymentshield product. It’s a really positive step at a time when advisers should be talking to their clients about the value of putting home emergency cover in place before the winter sets in.
“We’re committed to continually improving our products and service to give advisers more confidence when talking to their clients about general insurance. For example, we’ve recently updated our quote results screen to make it easier for advisers to discuss with their clients what level of cover is right for them and quickly tailor the quote to meet their needs. There’s also several more exciting initiatives already in the pipeline.”
