PEXA bolsters leadership team with double hire

Digital property exchange platform PEXA has announced two senior hires, appointing James Foster as director of lender sales and Paul Davies as head of conveyancer relationships.

Foster, who has more than 14 years of industry experience, will focus on strengthening relationships with lenders as PEXA embeds its remortgage platform in the UK market. He will also play a key role in the planned rollout of the company’s sale and purchase proposition later this year. Previously, Foster worked at Gartner, advising large enterprises on digital strategy, and held senior roles at Mortgage Brain and in retail banking.

Davies, with over 25 years of experience in property and mortgage services, will lead engagement with conveyancers, helping them integrate PEXA’s platform to improve transaction efficiency. He joins from Teal Legal, where he specialised in lending, conveyancing panel management, and property transactions.

The appointments follow a milestone for PEXA, which recently surpassed £100 million in UK remortgage transactions processed through its platform. Both Foster and Davies will officially join PEXA in March. Last month, PEXA appointed Nitesh Thadani as its UK chief technology officer to spearhead the development and expansion of its technology platform.

“As we look to build on the significant progress and momentum we built last year, 2025 is set to be a pivotal year for PEXA,” said Joe Pepper (pictured), UK chief executive of PEXA. “We are strengthening our senior team to match our growth ambitions and to ensure that we can deliver at scale and pace for our customers in the best way for them.

“Both Paul and James are formidable hires who will be absolutely critical to achieving our goals. I’m delighted to welcome them.”

Foster expressed enthusiasm for his new role, citing his commitment to digital transformation in financial services.

“PEXA is at the forefront of this innovation in the property market,” he said. “There’s no denying the vital role it can play in making lenders’ lives easier, so joining the team was an offer I couldn’t refuse.”

Davies echoed the sentiment, emphasising the need for improved efficiency in conveyancing.

“Driving innovation in the infrastructure that supports them is vital,” he said. “I am passionate about creating partnerships with them that helps do just that.”
