Joining Phil in the role of key relationship manager, which Skipton sees as crucial to developing its service to brokers, is Deborah Fairweather.
Deborah joined Skipton from GE Money Home Lending where she was a BDM and prior to that had experience as a mortgage broker. She worked at the Cooperative Bank for 10 years, holding various roles in branch management, including mortgage development manager.
Deborah said: “I have certainly found my home working in the intermediary market and am unbelievably excited about my new role and working with our key partners in order to raise our profile and spread the Skipton message.”
Phil commented: “I've been involved in building societies since the 1970s and have seen many changes in the industry, more recently those changes that have really impacted on the world we see today, such as Regulation Day in 2004, the aftermath of the massive credit crash in 2009 and last year's MMR.
He added: “I have many friends and contacts in the intermediary world and my experience lends itself to working alongside key partners.”
Also new to the team is intermediary relationship manager Sara Finlay Hudson, who previously worked as a regional development manager for L&G, Aviva, Platform and Bristol & West.
