The directory is available to all brokers who use Pink, including directly authorised intermediaries. The tool includes full details of registration for lender illustrations and a hyperlink to all lender websites.
The aim of the directory, believed to be the first launched by a network, is to aid brokers in managing all of the information involved in dealing with the KFIs as intermediaries adapt to handling the barrage of illustrations they may use.
Tony Jones, managing director of Pink Home Loans, said: “The feedback we have got from brokers is they are happy to use the sourcing systems to source products but a lot want to go to the lender websites to produce KFIs.
“But if they are dealing with multiple lenders, like many do, they have to store all the e-mail addresses, web links and information in order to have some sort of management.
“In our tools section of the website we now have a directory that gives all the required registration details for all the different lender KFIs and a hyperlink to all lender sites. This will make it easier for brokers to access multiple lenders,” Jones added.
Simon Chalk, mortgage planner at Mortgage Portfolio Services, said: “Some lender websites are very difficult to get onto and access so this is a handy tool. Anything that makes our life a little easier is a good thing.”
But Richard Griffiths, managing director of Network Data, said: “What is this service actually doing? It’s just a link to the lender sites, isn’t it? We are telling our members to use the sourcing systems to produce KFIs and we will pick up the responsibility for any inaccuracies. We don’t expect them to use the lender websites.”
