Platform and AToM host charity 'round the clock golf challenge'

"CALLING ALL GOLF FANATICS"

PLATFORM AND ATOM TEE OFF FOR CHARITY

- in midsummer golf challenge for Cancer Research UK -

It has been said that only mad dogs and Englishmen brave the midday sun.

Now, it seems, golf fanatics from the mortgage world are also joining in.

The challenge, taking place at Mannings Heath Golf Course in Horsham*, is to play four rounds of golf, back to back, kicking off at daybreak at 5am and finishing at 10pm. With the average 18 hole round taking roughly 4 to 4.5 hours it will be a race against time if the golfers are to complete the challenge in the 17 hours allowed. During this time each golfer will complete 72 holes over a foot blistering marathon distance of 26 miles!

The enthusiasts taking part are:

Dale Jannels, Sales & Marketing Director - AToM

Rob Field, Sales Manager - AToM

Richard Beardshaw, Regional Manager (South) - Platform

Paul Isaacs, Corporate Relationship Manager - Platform

Platform and AToM are now inviting others in the mortgage world to join them. Fellow golfing enthusiasts who would also like to get involved can enter a two-person team into the challenge, with all proceeds going towards funding the valuable work of those at Cancer Research UK.

Dale Jannels, Sales & Marketing Director of AToM comments;

"This challenge is a mean feat for us and we have been priming ourselves carefully, fitting in a few extra rounds of golf per week as training! This is obviously proving to be tough work for enthusiasts, or should I say fanatics, like us! On a serious note, we are delighted to be hosting this event, in conjunction with Platform, and we look forward to welcoming more teams into the challenge. Although it will be a tiring day we intend to have lots of fun and in turn raise a significant amount for Cancer Research

UK."
