Platform, the "one-stop" intermediary mortgage lender of the Britannia Building Society, has announced its membership of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI). The lender has joined the new trade body as an Associate Member and will support AMI's work as the unified voice of all mortgage intermediaries.
By joining AMI Platform will have the opportunity to reach a larger network of contacts including key industry leaders from both product providers and distributors. The lender will also benefit from being able to share common experiences on such issues as regulation, industry issues and commercial best practice.
Chris Cummings, director of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries, commented: "I am delighted to welcome Platform as an Associate Member of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries. As the sole trade body for mortgage intermediaries, we are committed to lobbying the FSA, Treasury and policymakers here and in Europe to ensure the mortgage intermediary voice is heard. We are pleased that Platform has decided to support our efforts."
Guy Batchelor, sales & marketing director of Platform, commented: "We are pleased to be joining the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries and supporting the work that AMI will be doing within the industry. With new regulations on the horizon it is of vital importance that mortgage intermediaries have a fully representative trade body to guide them through the maze of new policies and directives. AMI will play an integral role in shaping the face of the mortgage industry of the future."
