The move follows the merger between The Co-operative Financial Services (CFS) and Britannia and the ensuing reorganisation.
Platform's pre completion service is to be moved to CFS’ mortgage processing centre in Leek and Platform's customer care service will be relocated to its service centre in Stockport.
According to CFS: “The prime reason for these changes is to ensure that Platform has access to additional people with skills and experience in mortgage processing and customer service, so that we can continue to grow our intermediary mortgage business and deliver a consistent service even during peaks in volume.
”We will maintain core teams at these new locations that just focus on intermediary business. The changes will be phased to protect service levels and we'll be putting a lot of emphasis on training to ensure that these teams are equipped to deal with intermediary business. Our systems, including Click, and our service standards and BRM contacts will remain unchanged.”
All other Platform functions will continue to be based in London and the exact dates of these changes are still to be confirmed.
