Seven candidates, who were specially chosen by their managers, will be receiving top quality job-related training in the workplace whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
The scheme, which will take approximately 12 months to complete, will provide candidates with the opportunity to develop key customer service skills along with a greater knowledge of such subjects as information technology, through a programme of structured but flexible vocational training. Successful candidates who complete the course will achieve a Modern Apprenticeship qualification in Customer Services.
The Modern Apprenticeship scheme is a government backed initiative and is being provided to Platform by Training for Change (TFC), a management development consultancy. TFC has a team of dedicated consultants, each specialising in the key areas of Human Resource Development.
David Tweedy, Managing Director of Platform commented:
“Our participation in the Modern Apprenticeship scheme demonstrates our commitment to investing in our staff. Training our people to national standards and offering qualifications is a step towards maintaining and improving our place in the market. We believe that by offering training in the workplace employee motivation will increase which will, in turn, favourably impact upon our service delivery and ultimately increase our profits.”
Jerome Goodluck, Marketing Manager of Training for Change commented:
“We believe that business success is achieved through investment in employees. Platform is completely committed to this and the development of their people. We are pleased to be working with them to provide training and qualifications in their workplace.”
