The money was raised for the Motor Neurone Disease Association at PMPA's 2006 annual charity golf day.
Held at the Radcliffe on Trent Golf Club in Nottingham, the event was a four ball AM-AM Stableford competition with 19 teams representing lenders, valuers, solicitors and PMPA packager members. The winning team was from Unity Home Loans, scoring 86 points.
The sports-related prizes donated for the charity auction that followed the competition included a box for eight at the Watford-Chelsea premiership match, golf for four at Sunningdale, and a signed photograph of the 2004 winning Ryder Cup team.
Jon O Brien, PMPA’s director of operations, said: "Golf days are always popular occasions for mortgage industry firms to network, but the PMPA’s annual golf day also aims to raise funds for the benefit of people who can’t enjoy playing golf or any other sport. We sincerely thank all those that contributed to the record total of £10,000 raised for our chosen charity."
