Other winners were PruProtect, who picked up the gong of Organisation of the Year, while LV= and Legal and General were highly commended.
Aviva won the Underwriter of the Year award, London and Country won Protection Intermediary of the Year while Exeter Family Friendly won Health Insurance Adviser of the year.
The Personality of the Year was Johnny Timpson of Scottish Widows while Alan Tyler OBE was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
