The Welsh building society is the sixth addition to MortgageBox’s panel since its launch in March, with directly authorised (DA) brokers able to apply for the Principality’s products through the club using the lender’s Brokerpoint system.
Dev Malle, sales director at MortgageBox, said: “MortgageBox is constantly growing and since the launch in March we have already added six new lenders to the panel. We believe that the Principality will bring a lender who has a flexible approach that our DAs can rely on. We will also pay a fee of 0.37 per cent on prime business.”
As well as Brokerpoint, Malle said the Principality would be flexible when considering applications using guarantors and from foreign nationals, while it had a fast-track service for accepted credit scored cases.
Paul Fielding, IFA at Cambria Financial, said:
“The Principality is a great regional lender and I know it is doing a lot of business in London at the moment. Its rates are always competitive; it may not be the most competitive but it is one of the better mutuals. It is also good with housing associations as well.”
