She brings extensive experience in financial services to her new role
Principality Building Society has announced the appointment of Karen Maguire to its board as a non-executive director.
Maguire brings extensive experience from her work in Wales’ financial services industry, having held senior positions at KPMG, FTSE100 Admiral Group Plc, Confused.com, and ZPG, the parent company of Zoopla and Uswitch. A chartered accountant, her expertise lies in audit, finance, and risk management.
Throughout her career, Maguire has focused on finance and risk management within the retail financial services sector. She has also held board roles with the Cardiff Capital Region Business Council’s audit, compliance, and risk committees, and Clifton College Group.
“We are delighted to welcome Karen Maguire to the board,” said Simon Moore, chair of the board of Principality Building Society who also joined as a non-executive director earlier this year.
“Karen brings a wealth of audit and risk management expertise to the role, coupled with her experience with strategic financial management. Her deep understanding of the sector will be instrumental in guiding our business forward and enhancing the strength of our audit committee.”
Commenting on her appointment, Maguire said she was excited to be joining Principality, an organisation with a rich heritage in Wales.
“Being part of such a committed, community-focused organisation aligns with my dedication to delivering positive outcomes for customers,” she added. “I look forward to making a meaningful impact.”
