The construction took ten years to build.
A care-home facility supported by Principality’s Commercial team has opened its doors on the old St Winefride’s site in Pontcanna, Cardiff.
Work began at the landmark site in 2007 and the construction of 14 houses and 10 apartments was completed last year.
The TÅ· Llandaff created 40 construction jobs and has created a further 80 jobs since opening.
Chad Griffiths, business development manager at Principality Commercial, said: “We are delighted to have supported 55 Plus Limited with this development as it aligns with Principality’s strategy of investing in our communities.
“55 Plus Limited and their professional team are to be commended in delivering an outstanding care home and we look forward to seeing the contribution this facility makes to care provision in Cardiff.”
Paul Clarke, director at 55 Plus Limited, added: “At every stage, Principality supported our aims and aspirations and were instrumental in helping us to deliver one of the finest care homes in the UK.”
A 95-bed student accommodation in Cardiff and a development of industrial units in Chepstow are just a couple of development projects in the pipeline for Principality in 2017.
This opening comes after Principality Commercial announced the appointment of three new senior managers to their business at the end of 2016.
