The service is designed for use by intermediaries registered with PTI who are seeking to add extra value to their businesses. It can save their clients up to 40 per cent on their conveyancing bills and for every completion, the intermediary earns a £50 fee.
It was initially rolled out on a trial basis at the end of 2003 to members of PTI’s 11,000 strong agency network. Already 300 PTI Agents have registered as users and 100 cases are underway.
The service is provided in partnership with the PSM Law Group, the Scottish legal firm, which provides the basic technology plus all the legal services through its operations in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Every case is handled by the same legal expert from beginning to end and PTI Agents, via password protected access, can track their cases online in real time to see all developments as and when they happen. They can also arrange to be notified of updates by phone, text or Email. The service is backed by a dedicated helpline.

Personal Touch recently received FSA approval to set up an IFA network and is currently applying to vary its FSA permission to offer Agents access to all of those products which, from January 2005, will all be FSA regulated, including pensions and investments, mortgages, and general insurance.
PTI Agents can either be Appointed Representatives, directly authorised intermediaries, or Introducer Representatives. As an Agent of PTI they also have access to a comprehensive range of compliance, administration and product sourcing services.
