This was secured when the company decided to shift all mortgage operations to Southend from 01st March. At present, mortgage processing is split between PTP Southend and Newcastle Building Society’s NMSL operation in Newcastle.
The move has created an additional 14 positions and all new staff have been recruited, trained and are in place two months ahead of the move.
Rob Jupp, managing director of PTP said “This expansion forms the first part of a number of aggressive and targeted innovations for 2007 which will result in PTP consolidating its position as a top 5 packager. Although it is sad to see our Newcastle Operation close it is essential that we put our business in the strongest possible footing and the growth of one super centre will achieve this.”
