R&BS Ltd are hoping to provide an improved service to the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (AMC) appointed agents based in York.
Jim Richards of R&BS Ltd has agreed to provide his financial expertise and experience in discussing the business requirements of farmers and landowners.
Richards commented: “As a dedicated rural-finance specialist, I can make an informed assessment on the alternatives available to farmers and rural businessman. This is a great advantage for the client as it aids their decision making.”
Once the application has been approved by AMC, Philip Coles of Smiths Gore takes over, carrying out the valuation and taking the customer through to the end of the process.
Coles said: “By working in association with R&BS we are able to offer clients an improved service from start to finish. We are able to respond to requests earlier, and because of R&BS’s expertise in this field we are confident that our clients are getting the best service - whether they have been farming for generations or are one of the growing numbers of people opting for the ‘rural’ lifestyle that are coming to us for advice on rural property.”
Adrian Cawood, AMC’s northern agricultural manager has welcomed the new arrangement: “Both companies have considerable expertise and by working together the result is that our customers benefit - which is of course the most important factor.”
