RBS updates range

Effective from Thursday 11 October, the rates apply to remortgages and are as follows:

• First Active 2 year fixed rate online only (max LTV 75 per cent) will increase to 5.90 per cent from 5.75 per cent with a £999 arrangement fee until 30 November 2009.
• First Active 2 year fixed rate online only (max LTV 75 per cent) will increase to 6.05 per cent from 5.99 per cent with a £499 arrangement fee until 30 November 2009.
• First Active 2 year fixed rate (max LTV 95 per cent) will increase to 5.99 per cent from 5.95 per cent with a £999 arrangement fee until 30 November 2009.

Chris Pearson, director of intermediary mortgages at RBS Intermediary Partners commented: “Although we have increased the rates a little on these hugely popular deals, our product range remains very competitive and offers brokers and their clients excellent value and choice.”

For all First Active residential remortgage products there are no basic legal or valuation fees. Overpayments of up to 10 per cent of the original balance per annum are allowed during the initial deal period. A higher lending charge may apply
