David Prosser, Group Chief Executive of Legal & General and Chair of the board of the Financial Services Skills Council, said: ‘As we go forward with each strand of the Review, we will engage the industry, consumer groups, awarding bodies, regulators and all interested parties in the process of developing new examination standards and in monitoring how the standards are applied. This will be done through using industry experts, consultation processes and activities which keep everyone up-to-date with progress. We are confident that the system we propose will assure the quality of these examinations, and we are committed to partnership and consultation.’
Teresa Sayers, CEO of the FSSC, said: ‘Through this consultation, we have demonstrated our commitment to a transparent process of working in partnership with the industry. This response paper sets out how we will take the Review forward following consultation, to establish a clear, industry-wide qualifications framework based on industry standards.'
