Reward Funding announces trio of senior hires

Alternative finance provider Reward Funding has announced three senior appointments in its Manchester office to support its growing presence in the North West.

The lender has hired Gemma Carson (pictured far left) and Gareth Boardman (pictured far right) as relationship managers, while Sarah Gaskin (pictured second from right) joins as business development manager.

The appointments come amid a period of significant business growth for the lender, which specialises in asset-secured funding for entrepreneurs and businesses.

Carson brings experience from roles at Assetz Capital and SDKA, focusing on client relationships and underwriting. In her new position, she will assist new clients with funding solutions to meet their financial needs.

Boardman joins from Lloyds Banking Group, where he spent nine years as a commercial banking relationship manager and 20 years in commercial and private banking overall. He will also focus on supporting clients across the region while expanding Reward’s client base.

Gaskin will strengthen Reward’s sales efforts in the North West, working closely with commercial finance brokers and intermediaries. Her role includes helping businesses secure funding to support growth, pursue innovation, and capitalise on market opportunities.

The latest appointments follow the recent promotion of Harriet Gibbs to sales director, a new role within the company. Gibbs is tasked with driving business development and overseeing the high-growth strategy in the North West.

Steve Noble (pictured second from left), regional managing director for Reward Funding in the West of the UK, said the appointments reflect the lender’s ongoing growth.

“We’ve experienced rapid growth in the region over the last 12 months, and this is reflected in both these latest hires and the level of talent and expertise we can attract to the business,” Noble said. “Our expansion has been driven by the pace and flexibility of our lending and our ability to fill the increasing funding gap left by banks and traditional lenders.

“Gemma, Gareth and Sarah each bring great commercial finance experience and vertical sector knowledge to the team. This benefits new or existing clients that are repeatedly turning to alternative funding to unlock further business growth opportunities. This, together with the appointment of Harriet, makes us a formidable team, and we look forward with real confidence.”
