Farr is a financial services industry professional with over twenty years’ experience in marketing and compliance in both the privately owned and mutual sectors. Until 2008 he was director of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) where he was responsible for the overall management and day-to-day running of the trade association, and development of regulatory policy.
Marketing Innovation Forum, which offers free marketing advice and support to advisers and providers, is manned by a number of gurus, the majority of whom have been operating under aliases since the site launched in February.
Farr now joins the ranks of publicly revealed gurus, including industry consultant Alan Dring, RPS' Peter Beaumont, esurv's Richard Sexton, and Paul Holden of Mortgage Stream.
Farr said: “Some can only see compliance as a business prevention mechanism, however combining marketing and compliance knowledge is the only way to deliver sustainable results after the changes last year’s crisis has brought upon us all.”
