The lender's board of directors appointed Darrow to the newly created position and to the board. As CEO, she has been charged with leading the management team and developing its strategy to broaden and strengthen the Rooftop brand in the UK.
Jonathan Naylor, managing director, and Mark Davies, finance director, are also appointed to the board in recognition of their roles as senior members of Rooftop’s management.
Darrow has joined Rooftop from Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. in New York, where she has had more than 20 years experience in their mortgage business and was instrumental in the development of their lending, securitisation and servicing platforms.
Naylor said: “Rooftop has developed quickly over the past three years and Mark and I are delighted to have Darrow on board. We look forward to benefiting from her extensive experience as Rooftop advances to its next stage of growth.”
Naylor’s responsibility will expand to include the development and implementation of an enhanced loss mitigation and default management strategy as part of Rooftop’s expansion plans and to support its securitisation issuance.
Darrow said: “Rooftop is at an exciting point in its evolution as a major force in the UK residential mortgage market. I am delighted to be asked to make this move to help guide this strong franchise to even greater heights.”
