This co-operative relationship creates a step change in the market-wide availability of technology to enable any firm, large or small, to produce a Home Information Pack and underlines the shared aim of both SearchFlow and xit2 in creating a practical and scalable technology infrastructure for the production of HIPs.
Searchflow says that the successful introduction of HIPs across the entire market hinges on getting the fundamentals right and only by firms working together can the market approach the introduction of HIPs with a realistic level of confidence.
Mark Riddick, CEO of SearchFlow commented: “Co-operation and integration are the watchwords of a successful HIP solution. xit2 and SearchFlow offer a unique proposition providing content and pipework. We will be facilitating pack production, not competing with providers, and so the welcome message for any firms looking to be providers is that a completely independent, cost effective technological solution is finally available.”
Paul Duckworth, CEO of xit2 said: “Every HIP requires searches and SearchFlow as the largest of the NLIS channels, will play a huge part in delivering this crucial element of the pack. It is a pleasure to work with SearchFlow, as they are exponents of utilising the latest technologies, for example they were the first search application in the UK to be tested and licensed as PISCES compliant. Since the General Election, HIPs are no longer merely a possibility but a reality that the market needs to address. Although talking about the availability of a full pack at the moment is slightly spurious as the government has not yet invited tenders for the data bank, providers will be pleased to know that the ‘pipework’ for the industry is in place.”
