The pack, which contains guides and a range of template materials, assists advisers with approaching estate agents and formalising an introducer partnership. Tips and ideas on how advisers and agency staff can work together more effectively are also included, as is support for advisers to train agency staff to make referrals.
To maximise the effectiveness of each introducer relationship, each pack contains:
• Guide for advisers to developing introducer agreements
• Approach letter template to send to estate and letting agents
• Introducer agreement template to use with estate and letting agents
• Introducer guide aimed at estate and letting agency staff
• Referral consent form template for use by estate and letting agency staff
• Training PowerPoint slides for estate or letting staff
Commenting on the launch of the pack, John Cupis, Sesame’s managing director, mortgages and general insurance said: “While larger corporate estate or letting agency practices will have in-house mortgage and financial services operations, research by Sesame found that many smaller independent firms have more informal introducer relationships with external brokers.
“With estate agents beginning to report increased activity now is an ideal time to build mutually beneficial relationships. We have developed the support pack with input from advisers who are already active in this area, and who often say that the real potential in this type of introducer agreement reaches beyond house purchases into other opportunities, such as protection and general insurance.”
